Stocks fall amid euro debt fears

Asian stocks fell in early trading, as strong economic data out of the US failed to quell worries about Europe’s festering debt crisis.

Japan’s Nikkei 225 index lost 0.1% to 8,529.98. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng lost 1.6% at 19,040.65 and South Korea’s Kospi fell 0.2% to 1,882.14.
