French economy sees slight growth

France’s economy grew 0.4% in the third quarter thanks to a rebound in consumer spending over the summer, the country’s statistics agency said today.

The Insee agency said French consumer spending grew 0.3% in the third quarter compared with a year earlier, up from a 0.8% drop in the second quarter.
