Bitbuzz expands wi-fi service in Dublin

Wi-Fi network operator Bitbuzz is rolling out its Wi-Fi service to convenience stores and supermarkets in Dublin.

It follows a trial of their service in Eurospar Northern Cross in North Dublin.

Bitbuzz is now available in Fresh stores in Grand Canal Square, Smithfield Village and Camden Street as well as the Eurospar in Northern Cross.

Alan Barry, Eurospar Northern Cross franchise holder and operator of Fresh Stores, said: "The quality of the service is outstanding, and the complimentary access means customers stay for a coffee or browse around the store and make additional purchases whilst they go online, check their social networking sites or emails."

Des Kenny, Account Manager, Bitbuzz, said: "Following the great success of this trial we now want to offer the service nationwide to other local supermarkets, convenience stores and garage forecourt operators."

Last month Bitbuzz announced that it now had more than 500,000 registered users and is achieving 10,000 peak logins per day on busy days across Ireland and the UK.
