Ryanair has announced a 20% increase in half year profits.

Figures released this morning show the level increased to €544m at the end of September, up from €452m at the same time last year.

The airline also increased the number of passengers it carried by 12%, to 44.7 million.

Howard Miller, Deputy Chief Executive at Ryanair, said the airline has also increased its expectations for their full year results.
