Eason is celebrating its 125th anniversary today.

The company, which has 63 stores nationwide, employs more than 1,000 people.

A party will be held in its branch on O'Connell Street at 6.30pm today to celebrate the milestone.

A host of well-known Irish authors will be there - including Maeve Binchy, Cathy Kelly and Paul Howard, aka Ross O'Carroll Kelly.
