International cargo group to set up global hub at Shannon

A US international cargo group has signed a deal with Shannon Airport to begin developing a global air freight hub at the airport.

Lynx Cargo Company is building a new warehouse facility at Shannon, with support from the DAA.

Finance Minister Michael Noonan welcomed today's announcement, saying it illustrates the company's commitment to Shannon and the Mid-West region.
