ISEQ down almost 2% at close

The ISEQ index of Irish shares closed down 48.39 points to 2,444.52, a drop of 1.94%.

Among the fallers, Icon fell €1.45 to €12.55; CRH was down 57c to €11.16; Tullow Oil shed 74c to €15.20; Glanbia was down 13c to €4.59; Grafton Group closed down 7c to €2.68; Aryzta slipped 75c to €32.25; Ryanair closed down 6c to €3.00 and Irish Continental shed 23c to €14.02.

On the risers' board, Providence Resources was up 14c to €2.30 and Kerry Group added 30c to €25.84.
