2% decline in Dublin Airport passenger numbers
Just under two million passengers passed through Dublin Airport in August, a decline of almost 2% on the same period last year.
The DAA said the dip was due to continued contraction of domestic air travel and a reduction on a number of European routes.
However, when domestic traffic was removed, the reduction was just 0.7%.
Meanwhile passenger volumes to and from continental Europe declined by 3%, while transatlantic numbers rose by 7% in the same period.
