Survey indicates recovery in some job sectors

A new survey of employers is indicating the jobs market may be on the road to recovery.

The new Manpower Employment Outlook Survey only predicts 0% net jobs growth in the final three months of 2011, but that is its most optimistic survey since the third quarter of 2008.

Cara O'Leary of Manpower Ireland said certain sectors were performing strongly, with parmaceuticals up 11% and manufacturing up 3%.

Construction is up 2%, the first growth in the sector since the second half of 2008.
