The Financial Times has pulled its iPad and iPhone apps from Apple's App Store after losing a battle to keep control of customer data.

The Financial Times has pulled its iPad and iPhone apps from Apple's App Store after losing a battle to keep control of customer data.

Apple has recently insisted that subscriptions to apps must go through its own store, giving Apple customer data as well as 30% of revenues.

The FT business newspaper and Apple had been in negotiations, but ultimately failed to reach a compromise.
