ISEQ closes down over 1%

The ISEQ index of Irish shares closed down 34.87 points to 2,419.77, a drop of 1.42%.

Among the fallers, Tullow Oil fell 94c or 8.21% to €10.45; CRH was down 34c or 2.97% to €11.11 and C&C shed 8c or 2.59% to €2.97

Also down were Kerry Group, slipping 51c to €26.48 and Irish Continental, down 35c to €14.35.

On the risers' board, Paddy Power added 23c to €32.85 and Elan Corp was up 2c to €7.03.
