Examiner appointed to health services IT provider
An interim examiner has been appointed to an insolvent health service software solutions group which employs 66 people.
IMS Computers Ltd, IMS Holdings Ltd and Integrated Medical Solutions Ltd look after millions of patients' records for the HSE, the NHS and private hospitals.
Based in Glenageary, Co Dublin, IMS provides software and critical support for dealing with patient records in hospitals.
It is now in financial trouble because of fears its sole shareholder Daresbury Services Group is insolvent.
The court heard IMS lost a €5m contract with a major healthcare service provider last month because of Darsbury's problems.
Ms Justice Elizabeth Dunne has agreed to a petition by company directors to appoint an interim examiner until August 29 when there will be a full hearing of the case.
