EC develops app to help Irish people working abroad
The European Commission is developing an app to help young Irish people who want to work elsewhere in the EU.
Work is underway on the development of a phone application that will inform people of all they need to know about working in other member states.
The new app will be unveiled in the coming weeks.
Ruth Deasy of the EU office in Dublin said the application, which is based on the talktoEU website, would make life easier for young people interested in working outside of Ireland:
The app will detail topics such as opening a bank account, registering in the country you arrive in, how healthcare works, and how to transfer benefits if necessary.
