Court appoints receiver to P Elliot construction firm

A receiver today has been appointed to P Elliot, one of the country's 10 largest construction firms.

The group has contracts for the Olympic village in London and the new Graduate school of medicine at the University of Limerick.

The Construction Industry Federation sais that the development will leave hundreds of contractors, sub-contractors and suppliers owed huge sums of money.
