Harkin: Euro is a 'straitjacket'

Independent MEP, Marian Harkin, has branded the euro currency as "a straitjacket".

Ms Harkin said: "It is inherently fragile and not strong enough to withstand the economic turmoil eurozone countries such as Ireland are experiencing right now."
