Barosso launches Single Market Act

The President of the European Commission has launched The Single Market Act.

The Act is designed amongst other things to open up protected professions, give greater recognition to trans-EU educational qualifications and to remove difficulties in cross-border e-commerce.

President Jose Manuel Barosso said the 12 principles in the Single Market Act will had one key objective - creating jobs by exploiting the potential of the single market.
