Representatives from more than 50 international banks are meeting in Dublin later to discuss how to grow their sector within Ireland in the face of the financial crisis.

The inaugural conference of the Federation of International Banks in Ireland will look at issues such as State aid to banks and supervision of cross-border banks.

Officials from the IDA, the IFSC and the European Banking Authority will be among the speakers.
