A new index shows Ireland is bucking the trend when it comes to its Foreign Direct Investments.

The latest National Irish Bank FDI Intelligence Inward Investment Performance Monitor shows that Ireland is now the second most attractive country globally for foreign direct investment.

The number of projects coming to Ireland last year increased by 15%.

Chief economist with National Irish Bank, Ronnie O'Toole said this has also led to high quality job creation in the export sector.
