Moody’s Investors Service today downgraded its outlook for Japan’s credit rating for the first time in almost nine years because of concerns over its massive national debt.

Moody’s Investors Service today downgraded its outlook for Japan’s credit rating for the first time in almost nine years because of concerns over its massive national debt.

The rating agency changed its outlook for Japan’s Aa2 rating from stable to negative. Moody’s said it was the first negative action against Japan since May 2002.
