French MEP calls for increase in Irish corporation tax rate

A French MEP is calling for an increase in the Republic of Ireland's corporation tax rate.

Madame Sylvie Goulard is a member of the European Parliament's Economic and Monetary Affairs Committee.

She is one of a number of MEPs who are trying to get their European Colleagues to sign a declaration calling for an increase in corporation tax rates across the EU.

Madame Goulard says Ireland "cannot expect bailouts without paying a price".
