A union official said Qantas pilots might strike over a dispute about job security.

Australian and International Pilots Association president Barry Jackson said that a meeting with Qantas management failed to resolve key issues, including pilot concerns over their jobs moving offshore.

He said meetings of pilots tomorrow and on Monday will gauge support for strike action at some future date.
