O'Leary: FF cannot be trusted with Irish tourism

Ryanair boss Michael O’Leary has today hit out at Fianna Fáil’s latest tourism strategy, claiming that the party has "destroyed Irish tourism" in recent years.

O'Leary stated that traffic numbers at Irish airports are continuing to fall due to "Fianna Fáil’s mismanagement and its monopoly protection policies".

"Fianna Fáil can’t be trusted with Irish tourism," said Mr O’Leary.

"They welched on their previous election promises to break up the DAA monopoly and Fianna Fáil ministers have in recent years destroyed Irish tourism by introducing a tourist tax and ordering the Regulator to rubberstamp the DAA monopoly’s inflation busting price increases, which have destroyed Irish tourism."
