Apple shares have fallen sharply in early trading on Wall Street a day after chief executive Steve Jobs announced he was taking another medical leave of absence.

Apple shares have fallen sharply in early trading on Wall Street a day after chief executive Steve Jobs announced he was taking another medical leave of absence.

Shares were down 4.03% after closing at a record high of $348 on Friday.

The 55-year-old underwent an operation for pancreatic cancer in 2004 and received a liver transplant in 2009.
