Survey reveals 'Dismissal Day' in Irish firms
Bosses in Ireland say they are most likely to dismiss employees on Monday, January 10, over any other day of the year, according to a survey by employment consultancy firm, Peninsula Ireland.
The survey revealed 76% of bosses are looking to begin dismissals on the first day of the first full working week of the year.
Many did not want to be a scrooge before Christmas, but over the break realised that the best way to cut expenditure is to cut their payroll.
The day is being labeled 'Dismissal Day'.
