Ceramics firm Portmeirion hails sales record

The maker of Spode and Royal Worcester ceramics today said 2010 will be a record year for sales after a surge in demand from overseas buyers.

Portmeirion said strong growth in export markets such as North America and South Korea, accounting for about 70% of its turnover, meant the firm was on course to significantly exceed profit forecasts in this financial year.
