npower announces rise in energy prices

About 6.5 million npower customers will face higher utility bills from next month as the energy supplier today confirmed a hike in tariffs in the UK.

Household gas and electricity bills will increase by an average of 5% from January 4, which will amount to an increase of £54 (€64) on the average annual dual-fuel energy bill.
