Survey: 72% of employees take work home

More than seven in ten Irish employees take work home, according to a survey by Peninsula Ireland.

Most of them said it is because they don't have enough time in the working day.

New research shows that 72% of staff with access to work email continue to follow them up at home.

The majority of those, 89%, say they do so because they don't have enough time at work to complete their job.

Two thirds of workers admit they have had trouble sleeping from worrying about work.

The survey questioned 1,255 employees from a wide variety of sectors over a six-week period from mid-September.
