Survey reveals growth in franchise sector

The franchise sector has seen an increase in turnover and employment, according to its latest survey.

Nearly 43,000 people are employed in the area, with 4,000 outlets in Ireland.

These include the retail and service sector.

David Kileen, chairman of the Irish Franchise Association, said he is not surprised by the growth.
