Germany leads recovery despite growth slowdown

A sharp slowdown in Germany's blistering growth today failed to dent the country's position as the strongest of Europe's recovering economies.

The continent's largest economy grew by 0.7% in the three months to September - driven by demand for its products at home and abroad.
