Fed set to reveal second quantitative easing package

The US Federal Reserve is expected to unveil plans tomorrow to inject billions of dollars into the country’s economy to jump-start its sluggish recovery.

The central bank should reveal the size of a second quantitative easing package - dubbed QE2 – following the conclusion of a meeting of policymakers in Washington DC.
