Regulator to detail new supervisory regime
The Financial Regulator will today outline measures his office is taking to ensure that the country's financial institutions are more vigorously supervised.
Since taking up his position in January, Matthew Elderfield has pledged to take a more intrusive approach to regulating the financial sector.
Today he will outline to the Oireachtas Committee on Regulatory Affairs how the Central Bank plans to overhaul the system of supervision in light of the banking crisis.
