Irish farmers fear fall in CAP payments

There is growing concern that the renegotiations of the Common Agricultural Policy will see a reduction in payments for Irish farmers.

The EU Agriculture Commissioner Dacian Ciolos will face questioning on CAP when he appears before an Oireachtas Committee later.

Chairman of the Committee Johnny Brady said farming is of huge importance to Ireland now more than ever.
