American Airlines said it will cut more than a dozen flights from Puerto Rico to the US and the Dominican Republic next year as a result of the economic crisis.

Spokeswoman Andrea Huguely said that the service to cities including Boston, Philadelphia, Baltimore and Tampa will be discontinued by early April, resulting in a drop from an average of 25 flights to 18.
