A new wind farm is to be built in Co Tyrone which will generate enough electricity to power 6,500 homes.

A new wind farm is to be built in Co Tyrone which will generate enough electricity to power 6,500 homes.

Up to 20 construction jobs will be created by the development - which has received planning permission.

The farm in Pomeroy will need investment of more than €22m by Irish firm Gaelectric.

The 11.5 megawatt farm will contain five wind turbines.
