Cost of doing business falling, but only in some sectors: NCC
The cost of doing business here has fallen relative to other countries but certain key products and services remain stubbornly expensive, according to the National Competitiveness Council.
In its report on the 'Cost of Doing Business in Ireland' the NCC says Ireland's competitiveness has generally improved.
The reports also notes however that those sectors not exposed to international competition - including state-operated services such as health and education - remain relatively expensive.
