Oil industry attacks Obama's offshore ban

Oil industry executives today warned that President Barack Obama’s six-month ban on deepwater drilling would hit world supplies.

The massive oil slick in the Gulf of Mexico and the moratorium imposed by Mr Obama dominated discussions at the World National Oil Companies Congress in London, and a BP executive standing in for BP chief executive Tony Hayward was heckled by protesters.
