Honohan: NAMA 'working well'
The Govenor of the Central Bank says he believes NAMA is being handled well by the Government.
In an address to the Trinity College School Business Infinity Conference, he says we now have a clearer picture of the scale of the banking crisis.
It follows the publication last week of two reports, one of which was written by Mr Honohan and which criticised the Goverment in relation to the banking sector and economic crash.
Mr Honahan said NAMA is working well.
"We've got a fairly good picture now of the scale of the banking losses," he said.
"The Government decided to deal with the big property loans by setting up an asset purchase company… this is the Government's solution, I think it's a viable one and I think it's working pretty well."
