Billionaire investor Warren Buffet believes the US was caught up in mass delusion about the property market, believing prices could never fall dramatically.

Testifying at the Federal Crisis Inquiry Commission in New York, the legendary investor said he would have sold his stake in the widely criticised credit ratings agency Moody's if he had realised the extent of the American housing bubble.
