British Govt to intervene in BA cabin crew dispute

The British Government is stepping into the row between BA and the Unite Trade union to try to stop more strikes by cabin crew.

The new Transport Secretary Philip Hammond will hold talks with both sides on Monday just hours before the first five-day walkout is set to start.

Meanwhile British Airways bosses are going to the High Court in a bid to avert the action.
