Radio station 4FM has increased its audience by more than 1,000 listeners per week over the last three months, according to the latest JNLR figures published today.
The figures make it the fastest growing radio station in Ireland,
The JNLR report shows a weekly reach of 116,000 listeners for 4FM in the six months to March 2010, up from 103,000 since the last JNLR report.
This represents a 5% share of the weekly audience within the 4FM multi-city licence area of Dublin, Cork, Galway, Limerick and Clare.
In Galway, 1 in 10 (10%) of all radio listeners now tune in weekly to 4FM.
Welcoming the latest figures, Jim Miley, CEO of 4FM said: "We are delighted that the audience has responded to 4FM in such a positive way. Given how competitive the radio market is in our market, a gain of 1,000 new listeners per week represents a very positive response to 4FM.
"Our new marketing campaign which commenced last week will help to drive awareness of 4FM as the home of ‘Songs you Know & Love’ to an even wider audience."
