The MD of media company Thomas Crosbie Holdings (TCH) Anthony Dinan has today announced his retirement.

The MD of media company Thomas Crosbie Holdings (TCH) Anthony Dinan has today announced his retirement.

Mr Dinan, 62, will step down on June 30 after 30 years with the company.

He joined the Irish Examiner in 1980 as financial controller and held a number of positions including HR director, financial director and company secretary. He became managing director of TCH in 1994.

During his time at the helm, TCH expanded its portfolio from the Examiner, the Evening Echo and The Waterford News and Star to include 15 regional newspapers, as well as the Sunday Business Post, radio stations and online businesses. TCH is the parent company of Thomas Crosbie Media, which owns and operates breakingnews.ie, Motornet.ie and recruitireland.com.

Mr Dinan was Cork Business Man of the Year in 2006 and TCH was named ESAT Cork Chamber of Commerce Company of the Year in 2001.

Chairman of the TCH board Alan Crosbie said: “Anthony served our company for 30 years with commitment and distinction. His impact on the company and on the media industry in Ireland was immense. I would like to thank Anthony for his contribution and wish him all the best in his retirement."
