PFH acquiring Siemens Enterprise Communications in Ireland

PFH has today announced that it is acquiring the Irish arm of Siemens Enterprise Communications.

PFH has today announced that it is acquiring the Irish arm of Siemens Enterprise Communications.

The multi-million euro acquisition will see PFH employ close to 200 people with a turnover of in excess of €45m, adding voice and data offerings to its portfolio of services.

PFH will seek to grow revenue to more than €50m in the coming 12 months.

"This announcement is great news for both Siemens Enterprise Communications and PFH customers. Our skill sets are complementary with few overlaps," said Paul Hourican, managing director of PFH.

"Now we have the ability to offer voice and data offerings from Unified Communications, switching and networking to our range of procurement, implementation, storage and support services.

"This is the first time that this breadth of complete product and services across IT and Communications will be available from an independent Irish company.

"We believe this deal has the ability to change the face of ICT in Ireland and offer real and tangible benefits for both large and small enterprises alike."

Siemens Enterprise Communications Ireland managing director Pat Donegan said: "As part of Siemens Enterprise Communications global strategy, this announcement will see its Irish operation combine with PFH to deliver a next generation Siemens Enterprise Communications managed and hosted services along with Unified Communications to existing and new customers within the PFH portfolio."

All customers of the new PFH group can immediately access the Siemens Enterprise Communications networking, switching and unified communications portfolio, aligned with PFH’s managed hosting, design and procurement services.

As part of the deal, Siemens Enterprise Communications staff based in Cork will move to the PFH Network Operations Centre in Eastgate, Cork over the next few weeks, while all remaining staff will move to the new PFH sales & marketing HQ in Dublin in the coming months.
