McCreevy 'considering' Ryanair board seat
Former European Commissioner and Finance Minister Charlie McCreevy is considering taking up a position on the board of Ryanair, according to a report this morning.
The Irish Times said Mr McCreevy hass been invited to become a non-executive Director at the low fares airline just two months on from his retirement.
The European Commission is now considering whether or not he can take up the position under the rules of the Lisbon Treaty.
Former Commissioners are obliged to "behave with integrity and discretion as regards the acceptance of certain appointments''.
