UK companies count cost of 'sickness presence'
The cost of employees struggling into work when ill could match the £13bn (€14.8bn) bill for sickness absence, according to new British research today.
The Work Foundation in the UK said sickness "presence" could even be costing more because organisations were unaware of hidden costs and under-estimated employee ill-health.
