The Government is making €500,000 available for work at Ireland West Airport, Knock.

The move follows a request made last month and will be directed towards the maintenance and upgrade of the main passenger apron and taxiway.

Managing director Joe Gilmore said the money would ensure the airport complies with safety regulations and maintains high standards of passenger service.
