AA patrol staff to strike in pensions row

AA patrol staff in the UK are to stage a series of 48-hour strikes from May 2 in a row over pensions in what will be the first walkout in the motoring organisation’s 105-year history, it was announced today.

The Independent Democratic Union said there had been no response from the company after it announced yesterday that members had backed strikes by 57% in a ballot of its 2,400 members.
