BA signs merger agreement with Iberia

British Airways and Iberia have signed a merger agreement which would see them become a single company by the end of the year.

Both airlines will continue to fly under their current brands, but are hoping to save a combined €400m in five years.

Rivals Ryanair and Virgin Atlantic say the move is bad for business, passengers and competition.
