Anglo Irish Bank has been branded a 'Celtic Chernobyl' this morning.

It emerged on Tuesday that the Irish taxpayer could end up injecting €22bn into the institution.

However, Dr Peter Bacon, the economist credited as being the architect of National Asset Management Agency (Nama), revealed this morning that he believes the final bill could be even higher.
