Agricultural consultants want level playing field in industry

Agricultural consultants are demanding that the playing field in their industry be levelled.

They say Teagasc advisors are racking up a loss for the State of over €28m, due to their pay rates and travel allowances.

The Agricultural Consultants Association claims its members are available to carry out the work at no extra cost to the taxpayer.
