Postbank closure 'a sad reflection on economy', says IBF chief

The head of the Irish Banking Federation has described the decision by Postbank to end its operations here as a "sad reflection of where the economy is at".

Postbank, which employs 260 people will cease operations by the end of the year.

The Communications Workers Union is now calling on the country's bigger banks to step in and save the workers' jobs.
